Breeding, selling and training high-class amateur-friendly competition horses for all disciplines.
Playland Equestrian Center, LLC is proud to present the following horses for sale. These following horses represent various breeds including several Playland homebreds. Glenda also accepts select horses on consignment!
Our goal with the Irish cross has been to produce a horse that has the endurance of an Arabian, the bone, temperament, and athletic nature of an Irish draught in one horse that will exceed the test of any event course, show jumping, or dressage competition. We feel our Irish horses are capable of not only that, but are also excellent all around family and companion horses.

Grey Arab Pony Mare
Contessa is a 2004 14h grey Arab pony mare. Contessa has been successfully competing and placing at the Beginner Novice level with a young rider. She is particularly well-suited for a young rider or petite adult amateur that is ready to get a little more serious about their skills and learning to ride. She is quiet and easy to handle both on the ground and under saddle, yet she will make her riders work for it just enough to teach riders how to be effective in the tack without breaking their confidence. She is the perfect pony package for someone and we want only the best home for her. Asking $12,000.
16-year-old, 15.2h National Show Horse Broodmare
Calypso is a 16-year-old 15.2h pinto National Show Horse broodmare. As an experienced broodmare, she produces beautiful offspring often giving them her stunning pinto coloring. She has several offspring crossed with both Playland Equestrian Center’s previous (It’s the Luck of the Irish) and current Irish Draught stallion (PL Diamond Hill) that are currently competing with amateur owners’ successfully in eventing, jumpers, and dressage.
Her offspring Calib, just completed the AEC’s in the Preliminary level and she is also the dam of the popular, “Cha Cha” who is a well known successful amateur’s event horse throughout Area 2 and 3. We sadly have made the decision to stop breeding and would like to place her for a nominal fee to the right forever home. She is in great physical health, an easy keeper and is quite capable of continuing to produce quality sport horses when paired with the right stallion. Asking $1000 or best offer to a good home only!
